Maintenance Fitter
Our client who is leading manufacturer of one of Australia’s name brand mattresses is now seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their established team on a permanent basis. Travelling between sites located in Murarrie & Carole Park this role is a great opportunity for someone with demonstrated experience particularly in a manufacturing environment.
This position will be on a rotating roster across day & afternoon shifts - Monday to Friday.
About you
This is an ideal opportunity for detailed driven person with enthusiasm and initiative to get involved with our client’s business by providing mechanical and electrical support on a daily basis.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing a range of maintenance work within the industrial facilities bedding and foams covering installation, general maintenance and repairs.
Core responsibilities will include:
• Repair breakdowns of production machinery
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks of production machines
• New machine installations
• Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts for production machines
• Computer work including enter post work orders, record machine downtime, order spare parts & order maintenance consumables
In order to be successful for this position you must have:
• Trade qualified maintenance fitter
• Previous industrial experience
• Previous experience in a similar industry
• Experience with MS office programs is essential
• PLC programming experience highly desirable
