THE ROLE
Seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Gladstone. The role reports to the Workshop Manager and will be required to perform mechanical repairs and servicing of heavy vehicles including:
- Conducting all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics and fabrication
- Ensuring the fleet is in compliance with and maintained to Fleet Management Standards, with an emphasis on safety
- Compliance with the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) relating to workshop/fleet operations
- Onsite checks and breakdowns
THE CANDIDATE
- Trade qualified in the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles
- The candidate MUST have experience in the field of Heavy Vehicle Road Transport – Trucks & Trailers
- Be an exceptional communicator who possesses a genuine desire to be a team player
- Possess a “customer service” focus to ensure we provide our customers with service exceeding that of our competitors
- Exceptional eye for detail
- Understanding of computer systems
- A HR licence is preferred but not essential
- Be subject to a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
