The Role
The emphasis of this role is to work closely with the management team to help develop, lead and increase our projects workflow. You will have a strong support network while working with some of the industry's leading talent.
You will estimate and document project quantities and costs, identify project risks and opportunities and ensure they are appropriately accounted for in the estimate and prepare construction and installation plans, programmes and resource schedules. Your familiarity with the local market will ensure that subcontractor and supplier prices are competitive and reliable.
Working on documented and design and construct mechanical projects up to $8m, the role will deliver both new and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors including commercial, age and healthcare, processing plants and high rise residential.
Requirements
To be successful you will demonstrate the following;
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering and/or trade qualified with relevant knowledge and experience. (No REPQ licence required)
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar mechanical estimating role including: reviewing tender scope, identifying risks and opportunities; calculating quantities from project documents; generation of cost estimates and delivery of technical proposals
- Commercial ability to value add engineer on projects
- Maintain and build mutually beneficial relationships with clients, builders, subcontractors and suppliers.
