Based at Montrose quarry site, this is a night shift position where you will primarily carry out maintenance and repairs in our fixed plant ensuring all equipment is operational and safe to use by our operators. On a daily basis you will be liaising with the Maintenance and Quarry Manager on any issues that need attention, being safety or production, plant inspection check. Also you will be initiating and communicating ideas, participating in site safety and business improvement meetings that improve efficiency, reduce waste, costs in accordance with Boral safety and environmental standards are complied with.
The successful applicant will have experience within extractive / manufacturing, fixed plant and fabrication using oxy and arc welding. Must be flexible, enthusiastic, reliable, have attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, good work attitude and ethic and is willing to commit long term to a growing company.
This role will work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety and Environment legislation and standards.
