The Role:

We are seeking qualified  Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team with Blue Mountains Transit at our Emu Plains Depot. This role offers you the opportunity to utilise your skills and expertise to repair, replace, maintain, service and test company heavy vehicles and related mechanical/electrical components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and service CDC fleet vehicles as per service schedule and within set timeframes and deadlines.
• Comply with all Health and Safety regulations and procedures, ensuring materials, tools and equipment are kept safely and securely.
• Comply with RMS guidelines and requirements for heavy vehicles.
• Completing assigned duties in a safe, clean, competent and timely manner.
• Enter accurate information on fleet maintenance software.
• Attend to breakdowns/accidents/incidents as required.

Skills, attributes and experience which are essential to succeed in this role:

• Have an MVRIA Licence.
• Practical experience in modern, low-emission diesel technology.
• Experience in the Heavy Vehicle Inspection process conducted by the NSW RMS.
• Hold a MR or HR Driver's Licence, or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.
• High level written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to confidently deliver outcomes with stakeholders both inside and outside the organisation.
• Demonstrate the proficiency to work with PC applications. Preference will be accorded to candidates who can demonstrate familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft AX.
• Ability to adhere to regulations and guidelines.
