Hamilton Island has a current vacancy for a qualified and well experienced Hairdresser / Stylist in our busy, fast paced Island Hair and Beauty Salon.
About the role
- Provide Hairdressing, Hairstyling and Make-up treatments as required on the menu of services
- Meet and greet all customers in a friendly and welcoming tone
- Have a strong and thorough knowledge of all products used, treatments and services
- Meet the weekly and monthly retail targets
- Consult with each guest on their requirements prior to cutting and/or styling
- Ensure Salon is cleaned and well maintained at all times
- Ensure sufficient stocks of appropriate product are available at all times
- Provide consultation services to wedding groups as required
- Answer general queries in a prompt and courteous manner and convert to bookings
About You
- A minimum of 12-24 months experience, post apprenticeship, in colouring, styling and general hairdressing
- A passion for your industry, love working in a vibrant and energetic salon
- An excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- A strong desire to be part of a recognised team
- Previous experience with wedding parties and men's cutting
- Cert III in Hairdressing
- Certification and experience in Make-up is highly regarded
