About the Role:
Provide the purpose of the role is to provide open space maintenance and ensure that the job is up to contract standards at the time of job completion within the Division. This involves managing both remnant and revegetated environments through weeding, spraying, machinery maintenance, general pruning, planting, watering and all aspects of Natural Resource Management. Provide an effective service based on best practice to customers ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures. All work is carried out in a safe and professional manner at all times and all vehicles and work sites are maintained to a high standard.
About you:
- General maintenance of remnant, revegetation sites
- Manage Friends groups
- Work over time as required
- Work as a team and individually
Essential Skills:
- Tertiary qualification in Natural Resource Management or similar field is desirable.
- Sound Ecological principles, able to manage remnant vegetation
- Knowledge of herbicides, application techniques, weeds and their control
- Able to operate and maintain horticultural equipment and tools
- Well-developed plant identification skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced organisational skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
