What you will do
We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Technician to join our Service Team based in Victoria. You major responsibilities are; but not limited to:
- Identify facility energy/efficiency optimization opportunities and enhancements.
- Service and maintain BMS equipment and associated systems
- Analyze facility plant performance in relation to applications document/specifications and analytics platforms
- Provides detailed reports highlighting Facility Plant Performance displaying and tabulating supporting data
- Provides solutions to very complex systems problems either troubleshooting the system or advising others on how to resolve problems.
- Requires thorough understanding of systems software to write or recommend modifications to programs as needed
- Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Continuous proactive customer interaction including an in-depth understanding of customer(s) needs / wants, and systems currently in place. Plans for future needs with immediate team members which includes recommending complete systems enhancements and promoting the sale of add-on work.
- Conducts intense self-study (reading, research, practice) to maintain the highest technical proficiency in the company's and applicable product lines
- Assists engineering and sales by providing technical recommendations to produce job layouts and bid proposals
- Assists in monitoring project execution per plan, budget monies, and time and customer satisfaction. Reports problems or changes to management
- Provides leadership to junior technicians and apprentices under supervision
- Is a proactive member of the safety team and rectifies any hazards to maintain a level of compliance.
- 100% compliance to Johnson Controls Safety Health & Environment Management System (SHEMS)
What we look for
Required
- Strong background in Building Performance and Energy Efficiency Solutions
- Skills in IT and server environments
- Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC and/or building controls
- Extensive Commercial HVAC experience
Preferred
- Excellent written/report writing & verbal communications skills
- Strong understanding of Chiller/Boiler and Air side plant performance and design requirements.
