About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced electrician with a solid knowledge in switchboard (MCC) design and manufacture to grow our department. This role requires a candidate with good communication skills and the ability to foresee challenges and address them. It requires punctuality and dependability and dedication to the jobs at hand. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with our client base.
- Ensure timely assembly of irrigation switchboards in our workshop.
- Working with and assisting the field installation team.
- Will require attending to some site works in the Perth metro area.
- Working off BOMs and procuring parts in a timely manner.
- Management of appropriate stock levels.
- Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Prepare and submit quotes for minor works.
- Supervise Apprentices.
Experience and Skills
Reporting to the Electrical Manager, the ideal applicant will have:
- 5 years’ experience in switchboard design and manufacture incorporating PLCs and VSDs for motor control in the water or process industry.
- Licenced ‘A’ grade electrician.
- Hands-on experience assembling switchboards.
- Good communication skills and able to work effectively in a small team.
- Well-developed computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- A full understanding of electrical drawings.
- White card holder.
- Current drivers licence.
- A can-do attitude.
- Safety focussed.
