Are you looking to gain exposure in the electrical industry and develop lifelong skills and networks? Randstad Canberra is currently looking for a number of electrical trade assistants to work on a large mining project northeast of the ACT. In this role you will work alongside qualified tradesman, and learn and assist in all areas of the mining project.
What you will need:
- Experience in construction
- Ability to operate power tools
- Exposure to the electrical industry beneficial though not nessecary
- White card
- Available to work 10 hour shifts - 13 day fortnight
- Reliable transport
Your duties:
- Provide assistance to tradesman with industrial electrical works - including the installation of conveyor belts and industrial machinery
- Learn industry terms and materials
- Use power tools and hand tools
- Read and interpret site plans
- Work as part of the team to ensure successful completion of all work tasks
- Follow OHS procedures
What you will get in return:
- Ordinary rates starting from $35 per hour
