CNC Maintenance Technician (senior)
Cutting Edge Automotive Components supplier in Australia, Mett Pty Ltd has since its inception in 1983 been a global supplier of Aluminium die cast components, incorporating value added machining and assembly from simple components to complete sub-assemblies.
Opportunities exist within our modern facilities for an experienced CNC service technician to work effectively within our machining department maintaining/repairing our broad range of automated production machining equipment. (Makino/Mazak/Mori Seiki) and associated process equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical diagnosis of all machining equipment
- Perform high quality mechanical service and maintenance (preventative/condition based)
- Machine/assembly installation work as required.
- Assist production/machine setters as required.
- Complete repair works with the highest attention to detail
- Respond to priorities as instructed whilst managing existing workload.
Skills/Experience
- Recognised trade certificate as a mechanical fitter (minimum 5 years’ experience)
- Clear understanding of Preventative, Predictive and Condition based maintenance.
- Experience in CNC machining environment Equipment (Important)
- Previous exposure to Maintenance management software (CMMS)
- Restricted Electrical License (“REL”) formally D class (Desirable)
- Clear understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic/Electronic systems.
- Experience in the automation process (preferred)
- An ability and experience to work both autonomously and in a team environment (experience as a field service technician desirable)
This position will suit someone who is highly motivated with either previous experience or aspirations to have a leadership or Supervisory role within the business.
