An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and self-motivated person to join our team at our Western Sydney store.

About the role

We require a qualified Motor Mechanic to be responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnosis of faults to a wide range of automotive vehicles, both passenger and commercial.  You will be responsible for carrying out these tasks in a timely manner whilst adhering to a safety first policy.  Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • testing and installing batteries in both passenger and commercial vehicles;
  • diagnosing mechanical faults and finding a solution which you will carry out;
  • carrying out servicing and repairing as per manufacturers requirements or as the situation requires;
  • fitting tyres and wheel balancing;
  • testing and installing basic auto electrical parts such as alternators and starter motors;
  • quoting times for completion of work and preparing quotes for clients;
  • completing workshop administration duties such as stock ordering, job cards and computer processing;
  • conducting test drives of vehicles to assist in diagnosing problems and on completion of work;
  • liaising with clients on work to be carried out now and in the future;
  • working safely, maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring a clean working environment;
  • carrying out RTA safety checks;
  • adhering at all times to OH&S and business policies and procedures;
  • being an active and positive contributor to the small workshop team.
