Camper Trailer Service Technician / Mechanical Repairer

Sahara Trailers is a leading Camping Trailer RV dealership selling some of Australia's leading brands Hard Floor Camping trailers and Caravans. Located in Townsville currently in an expansion phase we are seeking a motivated person with a positive approach for our Workshop & Service department.

This is not an assembly line; it is a very hands on, practical role that requires you to be accountable for the quality of each individual fit out.

We are currently looking for Casual Staff member to Help Cater for an increase in Work load which could extend with the rite applicant, hours each week will depend on the work load required.

Start date will be straight away.

You will be part of the team responsible for Servicing, Building, Repairing, Pre Delivery and Delivery of Camping Trailers and Caravans

Requirements:

·         Caravan or Camper experience preferred but not essential

·         Warehousing Parts Experience highly desirable

·         Experience working in Mechanical/ Panel Beating / Auto electrical Work Shops Highly Desirable.

·         Willing to work as a Team Member.

·         Experience in Service & Maintenance of brakes, bearings and chassis mechanical background required

·         Able to diagnose and repair 12V electrical faults and installations

·         Customer Service Skills and Excellent Customer Relations

·         Diagnose and repair plumbing faults

·         Genuine Positive Attitude

·         Mechanically / Practically Minded

·         Ability to find Solutions Quickly

·         Organisational Skills

·         Pride in work

·          Ability to learn new tasks efficiently

·          Understanding of mechanics essential

·         12 Volt electrical experience

·         Forklift License desirable

·         Strong focus on OH&S

·         Competent with hand tools and Power tools

·         Previous experience in camper trailer or Mechanical work shop an advantage 

·         Ability to Weld with Stick or Mig welder if required for small jobs

Duties may include assembly of Parts Kits, 12 volt electrical fit out, accessory fitting, and general workshop duties on camper trailers. Candidates need to be reliable, honest, trustworthy and have attention to detail. Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills. We have a close knit team with modern equipment and facilities. Immediate start for suitable applicants. casual basis to start with probationary period will apply. Police clearance and drug and alcohol test required.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, experienced skilled operators who want to be part of the assembly and detailing team building off-road camper trailers, maintaining and servicing Caravans.
