Stokes Rousseau Pty Ltd is a registered commercial construction company that undertake refurbishment, adaptive reuse projects and new commercial construction. We are registered on the state government construction supply register and Heritage Victoria's preferred contractors register. 

Our clients are generally government departments and local councils. Projects vary in scope and location. Recent project locations include Parkville, Albert Park, Prahran, Avondale Heights, Romsey and Malvern. Recent projects include facade refurbishments at Prahran Market and Melbourne University and the construction of multiple sporting facility pavilions for various councils throughout Melbourne. Our yard/office is located in Brunswick East.

The position is initially offered as a contract carpentry role within a small team, working on projects valued between $200,000 and $2M. 3-5 projects are generally underway at any one time. Core duties include all aspects of carpentry from framing to second fix.

Suitable candidates are preferred to have:

• A carpentry qualification with a minimum of 3 years experience after completing an apprenticeship
• Construction Red/White Card
• Good communication skills
• The ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• The ability to work autonomously and within a team
• A drivers license and vehicle
• All carpentry tools and relevant PPE

Stokes Rousseau Pty Ltd offers employees/contractors excellent working environments and opportunities to advance and up skill within the construction industry. The current team consists of 15 personnel aged between 21 and 36, predominantly in project management, foreman and carpentry roles.

Pay rate to be negotiated based on experience. Contract / Short term candidates are also encouraged to apply.
