About the role
We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Technician with proven hands on mechanical and electrical assembly experience, to join our Production team.
The role is based at our Head Office in Tullamarine. Some travel to customer sites based interstate and overseas is required.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you must have strong communication skills together with an abilty to work autonomously and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced, supportive team environment. You will perform a key hands on support role in the manufacture, assembly and maintenance of our range of innovative, self-service products.
Your key challenges include:
- Mechanical and general electronics assembly and fault finding of our range of self-service products including kiosks, automatic bag drop, boarding gates and portable products, in our workshop/manufacturing facility.
- Configuration of electronic devices including printers, screens and barcode readers etc.
- Product testing of subassemblies and final product.
- Conduct warranty repairs.
- Onsite deployment of the product, as required.

Skills and experience
- Must be an Australian/N.Z. Citizen or have Permanent Residency. Official documentation is required.
- Proven mechanical and electrical assembly experience ideally from within the technology, automation, manufacturing, consumer electronics or other relevant industries.
- Previous customer facing experience.
- Windows operating system experience is required.
- A competent user of Microsoft Office products.
- A flexible team player and able to work autonomously.
- Sound trouble shooting skills and attention to detail.
- An ability to prioritise work requirements and work towards deadlines.
