A Sports Turf Management Apprenticeship is a great way to bring together your love of all things sports and your desire to get outside everyday and work hands on!
About the role
This is a four year apprenticeship where you will be lucky enough to work for a local council maintaining and developing a variety of sporting grounds, such as cricket ovals, footy fields, and golf courses. This is a fantastic opportunity to work and gain a qualification within a specialised area of the Horticulture industry.
As you will be starting work early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day, you will have the advantage of finishing your work days early too, meaning more time for you to pursue other activities, passions, or sporting commitments in the afternoon!
About you
- A genuine desire to work outdoors and a passion for field sports
- Punctual and consistent at all times with reliable transport
- A positive team mentality with a helpful attitude
- Good communication
- Physically fit and confident with using Horticultural equipment and tools once shown
- Integrity and honesty
- Flexible and adaptable with the desire to simply get in and get the job done
- Commitment to learning and attending all required TAFE
