Service Stream are Australia's leading provider of metering services. We are looking for meter readers to work on our Western Power contract in the Perth metropolitan area.

As a meter reader you will be allocated work on a daily basis, drive to a location and walk a defined area to obtain readings from household and commercial electricity meters.
Your duties will involve:

• Walking 15-20km per day

• Obtaining and entering meter readings into a hand held data device

• Communication with customers and office staff

• Rain, hail or shine you will be required to be reading meters in the field

The following criteria must be met:

• Have Australian citizenship or permanent residency

• Ability to obtain a clean police clearance

• Have a reliable car and a clean, unrestricted valid driver's license

• Have a mobile phone

• Commitment to work 5 days per week, Monday - Friday - 7am start, at least 6 to 7 hours per day

• You must be self-motivated, possess good work ethic and be reliable

Meter reading requires a high level of fitness and stamina. If you are unable to maintain a reasonable pace walk for more than 6 hours continuously we would encourage you to increase your fitness before applying to increase your chances of passing our fitness and assessment process.
