We are seeking casual Gas Meter Readers for the Perth Metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs.

We are seeking individuals who enjoy a challenge, can work autonomously and outdoors in all weather conditions. Must have excellent time management skills and are capable of walking long distances for extended periods of time. We require employees to work upto 7.6hrs per day, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.

You must be:

• Ready for an immediate start (If accepted ready to start the next business day)
• Fit and able to walk up to or more than 30kms per day
• Available for work Monday to Friday continuously (we do not work Saturday, Sunday or public holidays)
• Must be willing to work 7.6 hours per day or to complete your assigned daily task as allocated by your supervisor
• Available to begin work at 7am.
• Have access to a reliable car and a valid driver's licence
• Prepared to travel an average of 45 minutes daily to selected locations to read meters
• Have a mobile phone
• Have Australian citizenship or permanent residency status
• Have or can obtain a current clean police clearance
• Have a reasonable level of confidence around dogs
• An up to date Tetanus vaccination no older than 5 years
• No vision impairments, physical injuries or illnesses which would impact or inhibit your ability to work daily
• Able to follow directives and carry out assigned tasks autonomously
• Have excellent time management skills
• Have excellent customer service skills

Meter Readers are required to:

• Accurately read meters for the Gas Providers and fulfil contracted duties daily
• Ensure all dealings with the public are professional and polite
• Ensure high standards of personal presentation at all times
• Report all meters which require maintenance
• Maintain and protect all property provided and ensure that there is no damage to customer property or company equipment when reading meters
• Contribute to the overall contract by reporting any problems or difficulties

Meter reading requires a high level of fitness and stamina. If you are unable to maintain a reasonable fast pace walk for more than 6 hours continuously we would encourage you to increase your fitness before applying to increase your chances of passing our fitness and assessment process.
