Working in close partnership with our customers, we solve complex engineering challenges to transform the way we fly, drive, build and power.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be located at our manufacturing facility in Clayton, Melbourne.
Areas of accountability include:
- Undertake engineering and maintenance activities including scheduled preventative maintenance, ad-hoc breakdowns and work requests
- Proactively participate in continuous improvement activities to improve manufacturing performance and safety
- Fault finding to seek out the root cause of breakdowns
- Design, build, test and implement solutions
- Assemble and test tooling as required
- Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with occupational health, safety and environmental requirements
The ideal applicant will have:
- Certificate III in Engineering and completed Apprenticeship – Mechanical Trade or equivalent recognised certification
- Ability to use fabrication skills to design and implement quality maintenance solutions
- Excellent analytical skills to methodically work through problems (individually and as part of a team) to develop and implement solutions that meet technical and budgetary requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written correspondence
- In-depth understanding of electro-mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components
- Knowledge of welding, test & tag and Class 2 – Restricted Electrical Worker’s Licence (Disconnect/Reconnect) will be advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement principle and practices including, but not limited to: Autonomous Maintenance (AM), TPM, Kaizen and 5S will be highly regarded.
