Your role:
We are currently recruiting for a Fitter Machinist to join O-I at our Brisbane Operation. Working in the Mould Shop and reporting to the Mould Shop Manager, you will be responsible for repairing Glass Container moulding equipment to ensure Glass quality.
Mould repair requires a variety of bench fitting duties such as filing, hand grinding and polishing as well as milling and lathe repairs on a number of interchangeable part for glass moulding machinery.
About you:
You will have a fitter/machinist trade qualification and experience in bench fitting duties like grinding and polishing as well as milling and lathe operations in an industrial environment, preferably an Engineering or Toolmaking workshop.
Any post trade qualifications and experience with MAZAK NC Lathes will be looked upon favourably but is not essential.
You will hold safety and quality above all else, have sound written and verbal communication, be a strong team player and be able to work with minimal supervision.
