ACT LICENCED ELECTRICIAN
Established in 1956, the Star Group is a privately owned organisation that specialise in electrical, data and communications services in construction, rail and infrastructure environments. The position is critical in providing electrical support in construction and service for Canberra Branch. This includes installations, maintenance and repairs to client sites and competing a wide range of electrical jobs. This requires an ACT licenced electrician to have construction experience at same time be able to conduct scheduled and reactive maintenance services. This includes electrical and data/comms installations.
Require strong customer service and able to deliver quality outcomes in accordance with Australian Standards and Star Group's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities of the position:
- Complete wide range of electrical (power, lighting and comms) jobs both in construction and service.
- Conduct installations for power, lighting and data communications in a quality manner.
- Conduct fault finding of electrical and data communications when required.
- Conduct scheduled as well as reactive maintenance and repairs.
- Complete activities, tasks and paperwork in timely manner.
- Work in accordance with safety standards and procedures at all time.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Have ACT electrical licence and trade qualifications
- Registered Communications and Data Cabler with endorsements (desirable)
- Have Data and Communications Vendor Certifications (desirable)
- Have white card (essential)
- Asbestos awareness training (desirable)
- Have current First Aid certificate (desirable)
- Strong problem solving skills in relation to technical fault finding.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills. Ability build relationships and consult with clients to achieve desired outcomes.
- Experience in supporting and assisting team members when required and working as a team.
- Experience in working in construction and commercial environment and comply with safety standards.
- Experience in working autonomously and take responsibilities for quality of deliverables and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and achieve high levels of quality with attention to detail.
- Valid Driving licence to attend client sites (desirable)
Position will require pre-employment medical assessment.
This position is covered under an Enterprise Agreement.
