About the role

Serco are seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join the team based at the Brisbane Immigration Transit Accommodation site (BITA) in QLD.  In this role you will contribute to the success of our cleaning team in ensuring planning, scheduling and rostering of the cleaning operation & ensuring service delivery of a high standard & all contractual obligations are met. Responsible for the day to day operation of all activities undertaken and ensuring that they are delivered to meet or exceed the contractual Scope of Works and daily internal audits of department.

This involves preparing, delivering and reviewing training of staff with emphasis on WH&S standards and compliance, providing effective leadership and direction to the cleaning team.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated involvement in improving work practices within a cleaning environment and strong chemical and environmental awareness. You will also rely on your experience in auditing and reporting of scheduled work, ordering of cleaning chemicals, consumables, stock supply and control.

Qualifications, Skills & experience required

• Significant experience in effectively managing a large team of people in a cleaning capacity
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build rapport
• Advanced computing and report writing skills will be critical to your success in this role
• Tertiary qualifications in line with their experience. Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations), Certificate in Frontline Supervision & Certificate IV Category I in Workplace Assessment & Training (desirable)

Requirements

• Pre-employment medical
• Ability to maintain Australian Federal Police check
• Working with Children check
• Driver’s License
