If you are a gun CNC machinist with defense type jobbing experience, we need to talk.
We work at the pointy end of the industry and machine components for high end application in defense and maritime sector.
This role is working with a bunch of people who only wish to make the best products and to improve every day. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference to an organisation and make some beautiful components, someone that might wish to advance their career in the future.
Key responsibilities:
- Programming and operating our new 2.5, 5 or 8 axis machines using MAZATROL
- Work with management to improve quality and machining run times
- Integrate into a productive and successful team
- Help us maintain a safe, happy and reliable work environment
Key attributes
- Honesty and integrity
- Personal dedication to producing work to a high level of quality
- Ability to interpret and work to existing programs, setup instructions and production documents
- Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling and inserts to achieve the most efficient metal removal methods.
- Machinist qualifications, as this is a technical position, the higher the better
- Experience in MAZATROL controls and programming language
- Experience with all job types from full auto to semi and manual processes.
Desirable attributes
- Strong Mazatrol experience
- Ability to write, read and edit ISO (G-Code) programming language is highly desirable
- Have strong milling and turning experience 5-axis using larger machines

Wages & Conditions
The role is full time for 38 hrs per week, afternoon shift plus lots of overtime.
