About the Role
We are currently seeking Townsville based Experienced Installation Technician (Auto Electrician/Communications Technician) to provide onsite installation, training and support for a range of technical products across the Eastern seaboard of Australia.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation of technical products on a range of construction and mining equipment
- Liaise with and provide advice with clients / management regarding installation projects
- Provide on-site training to customers on product performance whenever required.
- Stay abreast of current trends and developments across the relevant target markets including competitors.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Grade 12 Education (Australia)
- Current drivers licence (Heavy Vehicle preferred but not required)
- Technical (Mechanical/Electrical) with experience in heavy industrial environment, ideally in the payload sector, civil construction or mining industries.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.
- Surface Generic Inductions (Coal & Metalliferous) an advantage however not a specific requirement at onset.
- Ability to acquire industry and product knowledge and can work on different products in the mining and construction industry.
- Technical aptitude to understand products and relate this information to customers and product users.
- Good Communication skills & Technical Aptitude to understand products and relate this information to customers and product users.
- Experience in the installation of Two Way Radios, Mobile Phones, AM/FM Radios or other electrical appliances in vehicles.
- Ability to work with a range of prospects and customers including tradespeople, machine operators, local, regional and corporate managers.
- Must be reliable and have a strong commitment to safety
