My client has been providing a service in the Wide Bay Region for over 20 years in automotive sales, service and parts, representing the most sought-after brands in Australia.
A permanent position is currently available for an experienced Workshop Mechanic who shares the same passion for the automotive industry as their workshop team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Carrying out servicing and a variety of mechanical repairs/maintenance on a range of vehicles
- Vehicle road testing and quality control
- Correctly diagnose/identify root cause of motor vehicle problems and required work/process to complete the required repair.
- The ability to read and interpret diagnostic scan tool codes/data, and formulate a repair strategy/process to locate cause of problem.
- Interact with customers to help identity cause of concern/problems
- Maintain clean work environment.
- Role requires candidate to comply with WHS policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for automotive professionals who have proven experience working within a dealership enviornment and a broad range of different makes of motor vehicles, plus the following qualifications and experience:-
- Qualifications as a Motor Mechanic
- Diagnostic Experience
- TMR Vehicle Inspection Qualification would be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of the automotive industry
- Dealership experience
- General computer knowledge
- Ability to take direction and be part of a larger team
- High standards in customer service and customer care
- Capacity to problem solve issues and find suitable resolutions
- Excellent work ethic and ability to strive for goals
- Current drivers licence
- Ability to work unsupervise
