Set Builder/Set Designer - Contract

We are looking for someone who is both creative and an expert chippy /carpenter with a keen interest in set building and finish, creation and installation of our photography room sets. Attention to detail essential, finishes and current trends essential. Initially, this will be an 8-12 week contract assignment with the potential to become a permanent role.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Building, installation, removal, and storage of all photographic sets;
• Researching current industry trends, producing detailed & realistic builds to improve upon our current set catalogue;
• Preparing time frames for creation, making optimal use of time and materials;
• Building duties according to industry standards incorporating WHS protocols. 

Your profile…
To thrive in this role you’ll need to demonstrate a successful background carpentry and finishes. You’ll need to take pride in delivering great results, according to brief, within time and budget requirements.  Flexible and able to work in a busy creative environment you’ll use your initiative to overcome problems if they arise.  You will play a pivotal role alongside our Studio Manager, Producer and Client to deliver results that meet and exceed their expectations every time. Your ability to add realism and some imagination to every set build is paramount.
