Our client is a successful and fast growing Commercial Roofing company operating throughout the Central West, Newcastle and Hunter regions on medium/large scale commercial projects. They are now looking to put together another crew to be based permanently in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and professional company that continues to grow.
Firmly established as market leaders, and in line with their continued growth, they are now seeking applications from experienced roofers and roofing plumbers. This is a career opportunity with stable employment and professional working conditions.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work on their key projects throughout the Newcastle area, installing Commercial roofs.
Candidate:
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and qualifications:
Essential:
• Fully qualified roof plumber (experienced applicants without a formal qualification may be considered)
• 5- 10 Years’ experience in Commercial Roofing
• White card
• Comprehensive understanding of onsite WHS policies and procedures
• Excellent workmanship
• Excellent Problem Solving/Analytical skills
• Team player – gets results through working with others
• Ability to relate to people at all levels throughout the Company
• Honest, ethical with high performance standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A “self-starter”
• Attention to Detail
Desirable:
• Experience in similar role
• Experience with using specialized equipment
• Experience working with a large Team
• Forklift licence or similar
• Scaffold ticket
• Working at heights training and ticket
• Competent at reading and interpreting plans
