Broadspectrum has a long and successful partnership with the Australian Defence Force (ADF)

Broadspectrum are currently seeking an experienced heavy vehicle mechanic to join the team at Amberley RAAF base.

The role of a vehicle mechanic is to ensure the running of various military vehicles through day to day maintenance and repairs.

Tasks:

• Conduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification.
• Work within timeframes specified in work orders to the required work standards
• Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.
• Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaces parts
• Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
• Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition and electronic fuel injection.
• Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates

Skills and Experience:

• Possess a recognised Trade certificate III (Heavy Vehicle Mechanic)
• Open HR drivers licence
• Demonstrated ability to inspect, repair and maintain light, medium and heavy vehicles
• Practical experience to inspect and maintain earth moving equipment and/or A-Vehicles
• Promote a positive HSE culture in the workplace
• Open and clear communication within a team environment
• Experience within a maintenance environment would be highly regarded
