Our client is a long established electrical contracting company providing service and small installation and renovation work over many years to the University of New South Wales located in the Randwick/Kensington area.

They are seeking an Electrician to join their team in this fulltime role involving interesting and varied work in a diverse complex. Career progression opportunities exist over time with advanced responsibilities and increased remuneration as experience increases.
  
Role & Candidate
The role‘s overall responsibility is carrying out minor installation and fault-finding work as allocated. You will need to be a qualified Electrician with a NSW Electricians licence and at least 5 years post trade experience.

Your experience should encompass:

• Fault finding on general large building Light and Power systems
• Small systems installations
• C-Bus communications protocol
• Dynalite systems & installations
• Dali lighting systems

On-site backup is always available if needed, but you must be capable of working reliably and effectively while unsupervised. Regular interaction with the University staff and stakeholders calls for good personal presentation and a polite approach, coupled with good communication and interpersonal skills.

You must also hold the additional following licences/tickets:

• Working at heights
• EWP Trained
• Confined Space
• NSW Driver’s Licence

If you live reasonably close to the Randwick/Kensington area it would be an advantage to your application, but this is not a mandatory requirement.

Remuneration
The hourly rate is in the $40-45 per hour range depending on relevant experience.
