Maintenance Fitter

Price Plastics - Caboolture is currently looking to engage a　maintenance fitter who has　manufacturing experience, strong fault-finding skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement, to join their manufacturing site.  $30/hr casual, 3 month trial then move to permanent for right candidate.  OT and callouts available.  Looking for immediate start.

About the role:　

• • Perform scheduled inspections and condition assessment on machines
  • Effectively carry out preventative maintenance, identify, solve and remedy breakdown issues
  • Maintain production plant; working on manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain building services and facilities
  • Work together with line team to maximise machine efficiency
  • Work with operations team to communicate and provide detail of machine status.
  • Manage workshop area, assist in parts and tools inventory.
  • 24/7 manufacturing facility
  • Fast paced environment

About you:

• • Maintenance Fitter; trade qualification essential
  • Minimum 5 years’ post trade experience
  • Sound break down and planned maintenance fitting knowledge
  • Excellent safety focus with a strong understanding of safe work practices
  • Display exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Exhibit effective communication skills
  • Have a proactive approach, strong work ethic and able to contribute to the team
  • Self-starter and able to work unsupervised.
  • Forklift license
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Knowledge of Pneumatic systems
  • Plastics Extrusion and Milling experience will be highly regarded.
  • Available to be on call for after hours and weekend breakdown and support.
