Our client is a leading provider of Rail, Mining and Defence machinery in Australia which require Fitter/Machinists to join the team in Western Sydney. This role is between 7am and 3pm Mon-Fri and is paying $39 per hour.

Primary Duties:

• Responsible for the inspection of parts on a wide range of Rail/ Mining/Military Equipment Components
• Safe and correct use of CNC machines, milling machines, lathes and any other tooling at all times
• Experience in programming, setting and running machines
• Parts inspection
• Use of measurement and quality systems
• Ensure work is carried out to the highest of safety and compliance standards
• Work with minimal supervision

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant Australian Trade Qualifications
• Certificate III in Engineering (Fitting and Turning)
• Diligent with documentation
• Knowledge and experience in the operation on manual machining equipment such as lathes, grinders, milling machines etc
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience within the rail sector preferred but not essential
• Valid work rights in Australia
• Ability to pass a functional assessment including drug and alcohol screen
