We currently looking for a Leading Hand Supervisor – Electrical, to join our Water Operations team.
The Role:
The Leading Hand Supervisor Electrical oversees both, maintenance and emergency repairs relating to all electrical work on Essential Water’s electrical plant and equipment, including filtration plants, pumping stations, sewer treatment plants and workshop depots.
Providing an effective and cost-efficient service for Essential Water in accordance with estimates and budget parameters, as well as controlling and monitoring work practices and equipment through training development and system implementation to ensure a safe working environment, are responsibilities of the role.
About You:
You will have experience in a similar technical management role in the water and/or sewage industry, as well designing wiring systems for new and existing installations.
Having experience in leading and directing a team of trades people in electrical services in a water operations environment, is a skill you will need to successfully undertake the role.
You will also have experience in electrical fault finding, water pumping and sewer treatment systems and the relevant Workplace, Health and Safety Act and Regulation (including confined space entry procedures).
Experience in accident, incident investigations and reporting outcomes and a working knowledge of SCADA Systems, Telemetry Systems, PLC hardware and software would an advantage.
REQUIREMENTS
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (plus Qualified Supervisors Certificate)
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
- Drivers Licence
- White Card
Desirable - Certificate in Electrical Engineering, First Aid, Confined Spaces, Chemical Awareness and Dogging
