We are currently seeking a experienced electrician to join our team.
CMS Electrical Services provide a complete range of commercial and industrial electrical services, including repair, maintenance and installation.
Our services include, but are not limited to, the following:
- 24/7 call out breakdown service

- New factories and offices
- Programmed maintenance

Our service staff have extensive experience in the industrial and commercial electrical services area and are able to service and maintain a vast range of machinery and equipment for heavy and light industries.
These include:
- Plastic Moulding
- Pharmaceutical and Food Processing and Packaging
- Engineering
- Warehouse Distribution
- Waste Compaction and Management.
We also cater for Foundries, Timber Milling, Grain Milling and Conveying, Concrete Batching and Conveying. We can also Design and / or manufacture, install and maintain all types of motor control systems and PLC systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Install New Electrical Systems
- Troubleshoot Problems with Electrical Equipment
- Repair and Maintain Existing Equipment
- Maintain Repair and Maintenance Logs and Records
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and equipment.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
- Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Direct and train other workers and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Work on other electrical projects as required.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants preferably must have:
- A Electrical license.OHS Construction Safety white card
- Minimum 1 year post trade experience working in an industrial environment. (Desirable)
- Have the ability to read electrical schematics.
- Programmable logic controller experience i.e reading programs, troubleshooting programs. (Desirable)
- Excellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting. i.e safety categories
- Must be familiar with industrial and electrical rules AS/NZ:3000
- Must be able to work, and be available after hours breakdowns and overtime occasionally.
- Strong Electrical analytical, and solution driven skills.
- Excellent communication ability with customers,employers and fellow employees.
- Experience in Automation, conveyors, and instrumentation.
- Possess strong mechanical knowledge.
- Must be able to use basic tools and machinery, as well as provide own hand tools.
- Ability to schedule and balance priorities; and possess a strong adherence to deadlines.Customer ServiceMaintain logs, and record labor, materials, and equipment used.
