We are looking for a person with Mechanical/Electrical skills to join our Liquid manufacturing team in a fulltime capacity.
Working as part of a small team of Line Setters, you will be responsible for the performance and efficiency of a range of liquid filling machines including technical support, autonomous & preventative maintenance, fault finding and trouble shooting.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following requirements:
Essential skills & competencies
- high level mechanical aptitude and ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain a range of production line equipment
- ability to apply high level equipment maintenance skills, e.g. inspection, lubrication etc.
- demonstrated problem solving and root cause analysis skills using formal problem-solving techniques;
- ability to build skills and capabilities in team members;
- ability to deal with a degree of ambiguity, think clearly and make decisions under pressure;
- ability to communicate effectively at all levels with a range of different people
- sound numeracy and literacy skills with a focus on attention to detail
Knowledge
- sound understanding and application of safety management principles;
- sound understanding and application of good manufacturing practice (GMP);
- sound understanding and application of quality principles;
- sound understanding and application of engineering and maintenance practices and principles;
- sound understanding and application of LEAN principles to build sustainable outcomes
Experience
- ideally, previous Line Setter / Mechanical or Electrical experience in a similar manufacturing environment operating high speed packaging equipment
Qualifications
- A trade qualification (e.g. Fitter or Electrical etc.) and/or Certificate IV in Manufacturing or equivalent is essential to be considered for this role.
