Our client is a specialist supplier of precision engineering components to the aerospace, electronics, defense, and medical industries. The business can provide a 360 degree solution from design, through to finished product and testing of one off prototypes and full production runs.
Due to steady growth in the business, we are currently looking for experienced CNC Machinists to program and operate a variety of horizontal and vertical milling machines.
On a daily basis your duties will include but not be limited to the following functions:
- Programming and set up CNC Machines.
- Operate a range of multi-axis mills.
- Measure quality and accuracy of end product, by measuring against 3D models and engineer's drawings.
- Researching and proving of new tooling.
- Supervision of trades assistants.
- Maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
The person we are seeking should be able to evidence most or all of the following selection criteria:
- You are fully trade-qualified.
- You are experienced working on a variety of multi-axis CNC machines.
- Experienced programming machines utilising FANUC-based controls.
- You have experience working with a variety of base materials such as aluminum, brass, stainless steel, plastics, etc.
- Experience using Mastercam would be a definite advantage.
