About the Opportunity
Come and work on the first driverless trains project in Australia and join the public transport revolution!

Join the Operational Readiness team as a Line Technician to help us prepare for day one operations in Q1 2019. You will receive extensive training and development in the future of Australian transport and gain skills with global demand. Located at our innovative Rouse Hill Depot, the position is a maximum-term contract until February 2020 with consideration for permanent opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish operations and control systems in the Depot Control Centre
  • Develop operation rules and procedures, including for testing and compliance
  • Mobilise maintenance subcontractors for electric passenger trains activities
  • Ensure compliance of operations and subcontractors with contracts, deeds and regulations
  • Support, mentor and coach other team members as required
  • Identify security-related hazards and provide technical recommendations to your supervisor, the Depot Superintendent
About you

Essential Requirements:
  • Cert III Electrical and/or Mechanical, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong safety, compliance and quality background
  • Excellent communication skills
Desirable Attributes:
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification, or a willingness to undertake it as part of your training
  • Demonstrated experience in asset maintenance for modern metro systems
  • Experience in railway or aircraft maintenance
  • Strong working knowledge of rolling stock performance, availability and reliability
You will be trained extensively in the systems relevant to your role, offering you the chance to be at the forefront of a brand new industry in Australia, developing a skillset that already has global demand.
