SAB Enterprises is a family owned Electrical, Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning company, consistently delivering a diverse range of service, repair and maintenance solutions to public and private sector clientele in North Queensland.

Due to growing opportunities, we are seeking the services of a experienced and dedicated Electrical and or Electronics technician to join our team.

This is a diverse position where you will be responsible for service, maintenance and repairs across a range of clients within private, corporate and government indoor and outdoor facilities.

What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate for this position will be a passionate/results focused technician, who has trade experience and the desire to progress into leadership roles within our company.

Reporting directly to the Service Supervisor, your duties will encompass servicing a high quality, varied clientele base.

Day to day responsibilities are based on the candidates technical experience and may include,

• General power and lighting repairs and upgrades
• Check functioning of newly installed equipment
• Evaluate system performance
• Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components 
• Conduct functional, operational, environmental, tests to evaluate performance and reliability 
• Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems.
• Breakdown service, fault diagnoses, repairs, testing and commissioning. of electrical systems
• Ensure a continual high level of customer service and satisfaction
• Quality workmanship while maintaining company standards and safety
• Perform repairs, servicing and general maintenance
• Provide technical support to a broad range of clients at professional levels
• Provide training and support to apprentices
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Perform duties in and around the Townsville North Queensland area

The key to success in this position is excellent technical skills accompanied by a strong service ethic with good written and verbal communication skills; the following skills and attributes are highly considered.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Prior experience in domestic/commercial fields 
• Demonstrated knowledge of Industry Standards
• Understanding of Safe Work Practices, OHSE Procedures
• Willingness to adhere to site appropriate procedures
• Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with people
• Strong sense of initiative, ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Possess confidence in personnel skills to make decisions
• Be committed to a long term career
