Callidus Process Solutions corporate headquarters is in Balcatta, Western Australia supporting a growing network of workshops in Adelaide, Darwin, Karratha, Brisbane, New Caledonia, Madagascar and the Philippines (Manila). We also have a specialised welding division Callidus Welding Solutions.
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a proactive and enthusiastic CNC Machinist/Fitter for an immediate start to support our busy Special Projects team. Callidus's Special Projects specialises in exotic materials like Titanium, Ceramics and Wear Protection. As part of our ongoing growth, we have recently purchased a new Okuma CNC Lathe to support our ongoing Machining needs.
This position will report to the Special Projects Supervisor and will be responsible for:
- CNC and Manual Machining
- Programming Skills
- Experience in Okuma CNC Lathes
- Pressure Testing of Valves to specifications
- Any other tasks deemed necessary by supervisor/management to perform your role
The Successful Candidate will ideally have:
- Trade Qualifications in Fitting and Machining, First Class Machinist or Similar Mechanical Field.
- Proven mechanical aptitude and capability to deliver quality work
- Experience in working within and supporting accredited Quality Systems (such as ISO 9001).
- High regard for working safely and environmental Responsibility.
- Ability to work in an adaptable team and use own initiative.
- Good problem solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
- Track record of being attentive to accuracy and detail in their work
- A Valid Drivers License
- Trade Qualifications Mechanical Background
- Demonstrated reliability & consistency in carrying out duties & responsibilities
- Ability to work alone
Please note,that whilst this position will be initially at our Balcatta facility, there may be a requirement to work in our Wangara facility in the not too distant future.
