To be considered for the role, you will:

• Have a drivers licence, own tools and your own vehicle
• must be a fully licenced carpenter
• Have proven experience in high end residential projects
• Must have the ability and experience to run and push projects as required.
• Must have worked on past residential projects in a lead carpentry position.
• Must have experience in projects from start to finish. This includes new build projects and extensive renovation projects.
• Must have the ability to understand drawings, specifications and construction details.
• Display an extremely high standard  in your workmanship
• Must be able to work within a team environment.
• Above all – be extremely passionate about carpentry
• Must have the ability to work unsupervised at times.
• Must be able to produce quality and productivity.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Tasks associated with this position include:

General

1. ability and confidence to liase and communicate with owners, architects and other contractors in a professional manner.
2. Must have a strong understanding of construction OHS systems and have the ability to implement these systems onsite.
3. ability to work on their own accord at times with the motivated and positive attitude to learn and teach new skills. Must also deliver both quality and productivity.
4. Applicant must be committed to our company's mission and in doing so enforce our company's core values.
5. Ability to work in a team environment.
6. Observe, learn and execute.
7. Must have the confidence in their own ability to display and execute tasks to the highest detail and in efficient manner.
8. Must have the ability, attitude and communication skills to teach others.

Onsite

1. Have the ability to read, understand and execute architectural and engineering drawings and construction details.
2. Ability to set-out construction works based off drawings and documentation.
3. Must have the vision and ability to co-ordinate works.
4. Ability to organise, program and execute tasks onsite.
5. Experience in timber frame construction including: floor systems, installation of timber wall frames and roof trusses, architectural cladding systems, eaves construction, window and door installation and fix-out.
6. Works will mainly involve architectural residential projects consisting of extensions, renovations and new homes. However as a small developing business you must be open to a wide variety of tasks which come to hand.
7. Have a full understanding of high end detailing. 
8. Majority of our work is associated with high end landmark projects. The applicant needs to be detailed in their workmanship as they will be working with high quality materials where only the best will do.
9. The applicant must have a strong interest in architecture.
10. All aspects of construction need to be executed to perfection.
11. Applicant will have exposure to all aspects of residential building- including trades outside of carpentry

Skills and experience

The applicant must have the following skills and experience:

1. Have their own licence, own vehicle and their own tools
2. Be a fully qualified and licenced carpenter.
3. Have proven experience in high end residential projects
4. Be detailed in their workmanship
5. Have experience working on architectural projects
6. Have the ability to run and supervise residential projects at times.
7. Must be well organised and have an understanding of other construction trades.
8. Have excellent communication skills.
9. Show professionalism in their work ethic
10. ABOVE ALL- be extremely passionate about carpentry
11. Ability to delivery in a manner that represents the company's mission and core values.
