AHG Refrigerated Logistics specialise in warehousing, distribution and road/rail transport of time critical refrigerated freight (FMCG including dairy, meat, produce, seafood, confectionery and manufactured food) across 4 national coverage brands to all states.

Consolidation of workshop operations and an ongoing expansion of our fleet of rolling equipment continues to provide opportunities for qualified diesel mechanics to join the team at our Adelaide workshop, located in the northern suburbs industrial district of Direk, maintaining our fleet to a quality standard, providing reliable rolling equipment to our Operations Teams.

You will be part of a small team working in our state of the art workshop, performing general servicing, maintenance and minor repairs in line with NHVAS accreditation guidelines.

Preferably, applicants will have a road transport or similar background working with prime movers/trailers, ideally with at least 3-4 years experience after obtaining qualification.

Our business, and subsequently our Workshop Team, operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure maximum workshop service coverage, so there will be opportunities to discuss a variety of shifts that may be available, and an opportunity for additional earnings.  

Once assigned to a set shift there is no rolling shift requirement, however, a need to be flexible and available to some reasonable additional hours or days (that may include some weekend and public holidays) to meet genuine work volume needs must be accepted.

There is a good base rate on offer along with overtime, weekend (and shift penalties if applicable) rates applied.

The successful applicant will need to be:

  • A fully qualified diesel mechanic
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role 
  • Available to work reasonable additional hours and be available to work in as a member of our "on call" roster 
  • Able to display a willingness to provide support and guidance to apprentices and other workshop Team members
  • Able to validate experience and capability by providing evidence and contactable and relevant referees
