About the Role
We currently have several opportunities for experienced and capable Field Service Fitters, to join our Emerald resident based Field Service Team, servicing our valued construction, local councils and agricultural customers.
 
In this varied and independent role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Perform maintenance, repairs and recondition works on all earthmoving machinery on various construction and agricultural sites in the field and workshop situation.
• Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring our valued customers are kept well informed of all matters in relation to job progress and costs
• Ensure repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that rework does not occur
• Determine re-usability of all disassembled parts
• Submit accurate service reports, time cards, parts request sheets, parts quotes teardown reports
• Support the sale of genuine parts, and when requested, give guidance and advice to the customer on supply of genuine parts

About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

• Trade qualified Mechanical/Diesel Fitter with at least 3 years' demonstrated experience with Caterpillar machinery/equipment
• Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET, SIMSi and SIS)     
• Maintain a high level of workplace health and safety at all times
• Capable of working both in teams and autonomously, in varied environments
• Exceptional communication skills
• A desire to learn and continually improve, as well as the ability to think outside the square
• Ideally be currently residing in the local Emerald or closely surrounding areas
