We are currently seeking a highly professional security officer for a leading university with a campus in Toowoomba.  We are seeking applications from candidates who are interested in a full time role. These roles are highly customer service focused, and your exemplary front of house skills will be on display.

Duties will include:

• Building security including locking and unlocking of university buildings.

• Maintain Gallagher Access Control system.

• Providing Security Services within the University’s licensed premises.
• Responding professionally, courteously and promptly to all customer enquiries.  
• Directing, escorting and providing information to students and visitors to site.
• Monitoring and responding to fire and alarm panel alerts.
• Foot and vehicle Patrols of campus, residences and conference centres accommodation.
• Ensuring university parking legislation is adhered to at all times.
• The production of Security reports.
• Identifying and reporting hazards.
• Providing emergency First Aid.
• Responding to alarms and calls for service.
• Conducting safety audits.
• Promoting awareness of the Safety and Security presence on campus.

You will  need to possess the following personal attributes:

• Well-groomed and professionally presented.
• Certificate II in Security Operations.
• Current QLD Security licence with Crowd Control and Monitoring.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Current drivers licence.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous university security experience highly regarded.

The successful candidate must have unrestricted availability to work a 24/7 roster.
