Resident Diesel Field Service Mechanic – Wagga Wagga
About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager this dynamic role will see you servicing our automotive, industrial and agricultural clients across Wagga Wagga and surrounding areas. You’ll be a part of our high performing team and leveraging support from our Wodonga operations. You’ll also be responsible for providing scheduled and call out field service support for local diesel engines encompassing Cummins’ On-Highway and High Horse Power engines.
Key responsibilities
- Be responsible for field service support to a wide variety of Cummins customers
- Complete mechanical and electrical diagnosis, trouble shooting and repairs on our customers sites or in the field
- Perform predominately breakdown maintenance tasks ensuring our customers are back up and running
- Be the go to person as our customers technical liaison
- Keep all records and documentation up to date
- Participate in skills and product training to expand your capabilities across our engine range
- Put safety first, every day
- Be the face of Cummins Wagga Wagga and drive new business
About you
- A Heavy Diesel OR light vehicle qualification - essential
- Experience in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel engines or light vehicle engines
- Previous field service exposure would be highly regarded
- Cummins engine experience is preferable but not essential
- Solid diagnostic and IT capabilities
- Strong interpersonal and customer focused skills
- A mature attitude and logical and methodical approach to your work
- Be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- Heavy rigid truck licence is advantageous
