About our Client
On behalf of our clients, Engage is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters and Fitter/Turner's with machine operating experience, to commence ongoing work in the South Brisbane area. Equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and decades of experience in the industry, our clients specialise in fabricating and fitting structural steel pieces for a range of industries from Pharmaceutical to Mining.
About the Role
The positions require an experienced Fitter/Turner and Mechanical Fitter with a desire to establish their career. You will be working in the south of Brisbane from Monday – Friday 38 hrs per week. The Fitter/Turner role will include operating lathes and mills to help design and fabricate metal parts to be assembled into a range of custom products. Mechanical Fitters will be required to assemble pre-fabricated metal components into various mining equipment, including earthmoving mobile plants.
Required Skills
- Trade qualified Fitter and Turner/ Mechanical fitter
- Reliable and available to start ASAP.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Strong focus on safety.
