HVTC Sydney in conjunction with Sutherland Shire Council have an amazing opportunity for a professional individual looking for an apprenticeship in Automotive - Heavy Vehicle whilst completing a nationally recognised qualification.
HVTC Sydney is an expert in the employment and training of apprentices and trainees and we are well equipped to support the regions diverse range of industry.
In this role, you will learn all aspects of the Automotive- Heavy Vehicle trade on the job while also completing a Certificate III in Automotive - Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
Duties
During your apprenticeship you will undertake varied duties which include, but are not limited to;
- Mechanical maintenance tasks on a diverse range of heavy vehicles
- Diagnosis of complex electrical, hydraulic and pneumatics systems
- General repairs- brakes, suspension, engine and drive train
Selection Criteria
- Ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical principles
- Commitment to safety, quality and principles of continuous improvement
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and develop own skills and knowledge
- Must have or be willing to obtain a WHS Construction White Card
- Must have current drivers license
