Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Apprenticeship - 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice
Location: Rocklea
All Trades Queensland is currently seeking a passionate and motivated 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Heavy Commercial Vehicle Apprentice, for our client in Rocklea.
You will be employed by us in a full-time Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Apprenticeship, earn a weekly wage and be exposed to all aspects of your trade.
As an ATQ Apprentice Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic, you will be working towards obtaining a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
The apprenticeship will allow you to become a heavy vehicle commercial technician working on trucks, buses, earthmoving equipment or agricultural machinery.
As an Apprentice Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic you will learn to:
- Diagnose problems, repair and service a range of systems and components of heavy vehicles and equipment including: engines, transmissions, cooling, steering and suspension systems, electrical circuits and systems, hydraulic and air braking systems and diesel fuel injection systems
- You will also learn how to complete heavy vehicle safety and roadworthy inspections
To be eligible, you must:
- Have completed at least 2 years of your apprenticeship
- Be genuinely passionate about the trade and dedicated to completing your apprenticeship
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude
- Have reliable transport and a licence
- Have a keen eye for detail and work with precision
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
