McMillan Engineering Group is a family owned & operated business founded in 1973. We seek an experienced Fitter to join our organisation in Dandenong South.
MEG is currently working from our workshop in Port Melbourne but is relocating to Dandenong is the next 2 months. Travel allowance paid to right the candidates.
MEG design & manufacture and repair hydraulic cylinders, precision fabrications, tanks & pressure vessels for both local and export markets. Our website provides a good insight – www.mcmillaneng.com.au
We have a multiple position available for a full time experianced fitter to be a part of our busy factory. The role will include but not limited to; Hydraulic cylinder rebuilds and new builds. General fabrication & fitting duties. There will also be requirements for Precise measuring of components. A keen eye for detail is essential. You will be required to work as part of a team or alone following health and safety to the upmost standard.
There may be an afternoon Shift available for the right candidate.

Key duties include;
- Disassemble & Assembly of Hydraulic Cylinders and Components
- Precision measuring of components
- Follow managements instructions and directions in a safe manner
- Ability to work alone or part of a Team
- Readiness to work early starts and overtime if required
The successful candidate will have;
- Relevant trade certificate
- Previous experience with hydraulic cylinder rebuilds an advantage but not essential
- The ability to Measure Parts & components with Precision measuring devices
- The ability to read & understand Engineers Drawings
- The ability to help with Safe work method statements and OSH programs.
