First Year Carpentry Apprentice - Burswood

MEGT are a not for profit organisation who specialise in making apprenticeships happen! Our client is a well-established construction company who offer the highest standards to their clientele. They are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented candidate to join the team as a First Year Electrical Apprentice.

The Role:

As a Carpentry Apprentice, you will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and be responsible in assisting a variety of tasks associated with the carpentry and ad-hoc maintenance of commercial, government and industrial properties in the Perth metro and surrounding areas. The organisation are currently enjoying a period of rapid growth and will have a number of different projects to work on.

Requirements:

Our ideal candidate for this role will have the following;

  • Ensure AWB Carpentry / General Building or Handyman contracts are achieving operational efficiency and meeting relevant KPI’s
  • Own car and drivers licence
  • White Card
  • Minor scoping and preparation of work
  • A solid understanding of basic carpentry skills
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • Willing to work weekends or different hours if required (early starts etc)
  • Possess excellent coordination and planning skills
  • Physically fit
  • Ready and able to commit to a four year apprenticeship
