We are passionate about providing green assets across Brisbane's parks, bush reserves and roads so that our residents are able to enjoy a vibrant and environmentally sustainable city. Our field based arborist teams support this by delivering specialist arboriculture services to maintain and complete rehabilitation programs of our tree assets. This position supports those field workers by:
- dealing with the more complex tree inspections and providing arboriculture reports and estimates for work
- mentoring and supporting staff to develop their skills and build team capacity
- conducting tree risk assessments and advising on tree maintenance and removal
- assisting in the development of strategic business and data management
- negotiating solutions with councillors, the public and other stakeholders
- assisting with budgets and ensuring work is delivered within budget
- assisting in disaster/storm events with tree risk assessments to assist maintenance crews with prioritising work
So, there is plenty of challenge and variety to stretch your skills. If you have a solid arboriculture background and computer competency, excellent communication skills and a talent for problem solving, this is the next career move for you.....
Also essential is:
- experience in delivering commercial and/or municipal arboriculture services and maintenance
- experience in managing projects and programs of work.
