Basic Purpose of Role/Why the job exists

The Repair Centre Technician (RCT) is required to diagnose, repair and test Stryker MedSurg equipment within the Stryker Repair Centre. They may also be required to interact with customers via the telephone and provide troubleshooting for Stryker equipment over the phone



Key areas of accountability

  •  Follow documented internal procedures to repair Stryker MedSurg equipment in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Conduct Quality Inspection Procedures for all repaired equipment in accordance with detailed work instructions.
  • Meet weekly individual targets measured by volume of repairs and other work undertaken

Critical Requirements:

  • Safely manage and use basic hand, power, mechanical and electrical tools 
  • Analytical and logical approach to problem solving  Flexible approach to all situations
  • Advanced knowledge of basic computer systems including ERP & CRM 
  • Ability to learn new skills, processes and systems 
  • Accountability for high level project work and process improvement 
  • Attention to details and ability to work to deadlines and plans 
  • Ability to work autonomously 
  • Advanced communication skills to work with a diverse range of internal and external customers and colleagues
  • Ability to think outside of the box, challenge historically defined processes and put forward ideas for change and improvement
  • Ability to learn new products and systems.
